April 15, 2002 -- MedicalTranscription.com announces the April 30
scheduled launch of TRANSCRIPTION MATCH, a unique and innovative
service that brings physicians and medical transcriptionists together.
The program, which has been under development over the past several
months, has as its basis a complex database of transcription services
and their abilities. When physicians initiate a FREE transcription
match search, they are matched with services that can provide their
needs based on capacity, specialty, technology use and more.
Transcription services must be pre-qualified to participate in
TRANSCRIPTION MATCH
VP of Information Technology John Nistad states, "We examined the
various factors that are inherent in providing transcription services
to medical facilities such as MIS integration capabilities, word
processing software, and various dictation and delivery methods, and
created an intuitive means by which physicians and medical facilities
can search. They can even specify the number of service matches they
will receive."
TRANSCRIPTION MATCH complements the online directory of transcription
services at MedicalTranscription.com, where transcriptionists and
services can be found based on name, city, state, and area code.
Transcription services may opt for a link directly to their site, or
create their own "service details page" on MedicalTranscription.com.
According to CEO Melinda Decker, "Our website is perfectly positioned
to receive inquiries from physicians, hospitals and medical groups
with varying needs. A recent survey showed that nearly 99% of our hits
come from people who have typed in "MedicalTranscription.com" as
opposed to launching a web search for anything related to medical
transcription."
Continued Decker, "Every medical practice we hear from is desperate to
find a solid, reliable transcription service. Every transcriptionist
we hear from is in need of jobs. The problem was that they were simply
not finding each other. TRANSCRIPTION MATCH was created to bring
talented medical transcription professionals together with the medical
practices and other organizations that hire them."
The website also levels the playing field for the local independent
medical transcription service by enabling it to market itself
alongside the bigger players in the industry. Participation is limited
only to US and Canadian transcription companies, since these are the
only areas from which physician requests are currently received.
Features also include electronic medical records, ASPs, paperless
systems, digital systems and more.
